Elizabeth graduated from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1981. She worked in general litigation and insurance law from 1982 to 1985 and has specialised in employment law and civil litigation since 1985. Elizabeth was a partner with EMA Legal until the 31st August 2018, she now acts as Consultant. Elizabeth aims to create strong working relationships with her clients through efficient, direct and strategic advice.
Elizabeth has a very broad range of experience representing commercial clients both nationally and locally in disputes. Whilst Elizabeth focuses on resolving disputes prior to matters escalating, when needed Elizabeth is a highly skilled litigator. She also works closely with employers as an adviser in auditing and developing their strategies for industrial and human resources issues.
Elizabeth has been individually recognised since 2010 in the Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession as a preeminent employment lawyer. Her expertise in employment law is recognised by her peers, as evidenced by the regular requests to deliver conference papers and the referrals she receives from other legal practitioners.
Elizabeth is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an experienced Board Director having held a number of Board positions, including as Chairman, for over 15 years.
Elizabeth has a number of retainer clients, providing general advice at a national level.
